Introduction
1st half: 1 hour long
Demonstrated lecture
In this workshop we will be exploring ways of how to read a score and to interpret the given music according to its markings (or, for that matter, the lack of them!)
We will be dealing with articulation, fingering, ornamentation and phrasing. Suitable techniques will be discussed and employed while working on a couple of given pieces from the Baroque and Classical eras. In turn, these will all be translated into our modern piano playing.
2nd half: 1 hour long
Master-class
Students will be coming up to play their chosen pieces while trying to integrate all that was learned into their own playing and understanding of the music.
